Spring Fly Fishing in Ontario This video was made in early June, when the mayfly hatches are thick and the stoneflies are laying eggs late in the afternoon. The video captures some of southern Ontario’s great dry fly fishing opportunities. Filmed on a tributary of the Saugeen river in southern Ontario, the brown trout were very willing to come to the surface for a well presented fly. Brookies were also willing to show their faces too! Sometimes when we hit the river for migratory trout and salmon in southern Ontario, things don’t work out as planned. Luckily, however, there are usually other options to fill in the time when there just don’t seem to be any of our target species present. You can take advantage of your time out on the water by targeting species such as white sucker, to practice your nymphing and indicator techniques for migratory trout and salmon in great lakes tributaries.

This is a little teaser of some of the fish we got into in the fall of 2009 while filming during the migratory trout and salmon runs in the Great Lakes Tributaries. Episode two of the second season of Bingo Bango Fly Fishing is set to be released at the end of February, 2010.
In the fall of 2009, the Bingo Bango fly fishing crew were out on a number of streams stalking migratory trout and salmon in tributaries of the Great Lakes. This is a short video of one of those days we were out. This video takes place on Bronte Creek, just outside of Oakville in the GTA.
