Not sure how many folks on FFO have heard about this yet, but there was a grizzly bear attack in Yellowstone that hit pretty close to home for many of us here in the Fly fishing and outdoors community here in Ontario.
Yesterday, Deb Freele, an avid Ontario fly fisher was camped at the park when a grizzly came about in the middle of the night.
Hopefully her recovery is quick and gets back to doing what she loves soon!
Heres the cbs news report with an interview with Deb. Deb goes by Matokuwapi on a number of FF boards.
Heard about it this morning, I hope all goes well in her recovery. One of the most interesting parts of the story was that even after a horrific experience like that she did not want to cut her camping/fly fishing trip short. Now that is one dedicated fly fisher.
I heard about this attack on the news last evening or the night before. Crystal mentioned it to me last evening that it was a member of the community here.
Hopefully the recovery is fast as you say and our thoughts are with her.
Alex
By any chance... has there or is there an update on her condition?
